Expanding the Walmart UNLIMITED Gamified Series
Walmart continues its journey into gamified storytelling with the second chapter of Walmart UNLIMITED, a playable mini-series created in partnership with Spatial.io and Unity. Developed by PIGIAMA KASAMA and animated by Martian Blueberry.
Episode 2 introduces Raya, a determined new protagonist who journeys across Luna Magic Island to recover powerful Pigment Stones and uncover her true voice. Set in a vibrant, Caribbean-inspired landscape filled with color, magic, and hidden challenges, the level blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and voice-powered mechanics, all while introducing a fully integrated shopping experience tied to the episode’s story and featured brand.
This new chapter builds on the narrative foundation of Episode 1, while introducing new gameplay mechanics, dynamic visuals, and an in-game shopping experience. Players can now engage directly with the brand, unlocking exclusive items and purchasing real products within the virtual space.

Luna Magic integration
Shaira, the CEO and owner of Luna Magic, plays a pivotal role in Walmart UNLIMITED. As a mentor to Raya, she inspires her to embrace the adventure, offering guidance, encouragement, and support in unlocking her true potential.
Shaira's involvement goes beyond mentorship: her beauty brand, Luna Magic, celebrates multicultural heritage through vibrant, high-performance cosmetics. This ethos is reflected in the episode through dialogue, level design, color palette, and strategic product placement.
Through a custom implementation of the Walmart Unity SDK, players can access a fully integrated Commerce and purchase real-world goods within the experience without interrupting gameplay, thanks to Walmart's official Unity Software Development Kit (SDK).
This integration transforms the gameplay into an immersive path-to-purchase journey, bridging entertainment and commerce without disrupting the experience.

Ibraheem, the Founder and CEO of A Dozen Cousins, plays a key role in Walmart UNLIMITED. As a mentor to Milo, he shares his wisdom and life experiences, guiding him through the challenges of self-discovery and helping him unlock his true potential.
Ibraheem's involvement extends beyond mentorship, as his food brand, A Dozen Cousins, is featured prominently in the episode. Known for its focus on healthy, authentic Creole, Caribbean, and Latin American flavors, A Dozen Cousins embodies the spirit of family and community that brings everybody together to lift each other up.
Walmart is pioneering the next evolution of shopping, blending virtual and physical lifestyles seamlessly: for the first time on Spatial, players can purchase real-world goods within the experience without interrupting gameplay, thanks to Walmart's official Unity Software Development Kit (SDK).

Traversing a living world
We wanted players to feel like they were moving through a living world, with each rooftop offering new opportunities for exploration and discovery. Achieving this required a modular level design and carefully balanced asset loads to maintain stable performance. The result is an immersive playground perched high above the city streets, inviting continuous engagement as the game progresses.



Inspired by iconic anime series
To give Unlimited its signature, anime-inspired aesthetic, our team developed a custom cartoon-effect pipeline. We combined outline shaders, stylized lighting, and subtle texture layering to achieve a vibrant, hand-drawn look that sets it apart from more realistic titles. This process involved configuring unique shaders and render systems to highlight edges and add dynamic shadows that respond to real-time events, like shifting sunlight or player interactions.
